Thunder was one of six teams in the Fircrest Fastpitch Club and the first team to qualify for a national tournament. And, that Thunder team qualified for 3 national events in 3 years; 2003, 2004 and 2005, finishing 14th, 32nd and 5th respectively. In 2007 Washington Thunder placed in every tournament we played except one and qualified for Western Worlds in Spokane. After a tough time in pool play Washington Thunder reeled of several quality wins and climbed to 3rd place.
